I Know Who Holds My Hand

In these days of uncertainty, when people all around us are filled with fear, anxiety and worry, we as followers of Christ have an opportunity to demonstrate that “He who is within us, is greater than he that is in the world.”

It was Rudyard Kipling who said, “If you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you, If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, But make allowance for their doubting too!”

We should view the present situation as an opportunity to show that amid trouble that we have confidence in our God. While we pray for God’s protection for ourselves, our family and communities, ultimately whether we live or die, we have placed our hope in the one who said, “I will never leave you or forsake you.”

We must show that our faith is not dependent upon being spared from sickness or even death because even though we pray earnestly, there are times when God wants to use us as examples of endurance in the face of what everyone else would call a tragedy.

Remember the three Hebrew young men, who in the face of the fiery furnace declared, “Our God is able to deliver us, but even if he doesn’t…” Their faith was not dependent upon deliverance, but upon God and his promises. Will the same thing be true of us?

We conclude with the words of the chorus to the song by Ira Stanphill, Many things about tomorrow I don’t seem to understand. But I know who holds tomorrow. And I know who holds my hand.”

Thank you my dear Brother, Linda and I are doing OK, I do have a small cancer in my esophagus that the Dr. says is very treatable and hope to get more info from from the clinic around the first of the month. “getting old is not for sissy’s” I’m finding that to be true by experience. Thank you for the communication, contact with our fellowship is so important. Tell your mom (Joy) hello for us. God be with you and all your family. Bro. Grant C. Rowell

I stand with you on these words, before God and the Virus. What we learn in life with God, is that …his ways we may not always understand. There is a purpose for everything that he does. We need to trust him in ALL things, not just some things, or when things are great. This situation is SHOWING me many things about the world today, the good, the bad and the UGLY….. all truths that the Lord wants us to see and prepare for. GOD WITH US…..
